Zero Waste Sewing Lessons: Useful Things from Unwanted Stuff


In this five-week course we will use abandoned or recycled fabrics and notions to make:

T-shirt tote bags, three ways
Food bowl covers in three sizes
Bulk food bags and gift bags in various sizes
Make-up remover pads and/or nursing pads
A zippered mesh laundry bag to wash them in

Learn:

Basic machine and hand sewing skills, serging, hand basting, French seams, elastic application, zipper application, turning corners, how to darn holes and sew on buttons
